Sit and Stand Stroller – Pleasure for Baby, Toddler, and Mama

A sit and stand stroller is the best decision for parents who have a toddler and a baby. Mobility or moving around has always been a challenge for mothers who have a baby. When baby carriages or strollers were invented, much to the relaxation of most mothers,since they were able to move their babies around in the stroller. However, this did not address the need of parents who have to take care of a baby and a toddler at the same time. When stroller manufacturers saw that having a toddler and a baby at the same time is not atypical, they thought of a way to make mobility easier for parents.

Double strollers were the answer that first came to mind. With twin strollers, you can sit two children at the same time, but it does come with a flaw. It’s probably the best stroller type for parents with twins, but not with parents who have a baby and a toddler at the same time. Usually a toddler is bustling and gets on edge easily when sitting down, as this is the stage where they want to exercise standing up on their own. Some are even able of walking on their own at this stage and do not want to be confined to a chair. This prompted manufacturers to come up with the sit and stand stroller.

This type of stroller places the baby in the front side and provides a space for the toddler to stand in the back. It does look like your regular stroller, but you will notice that there is a small platform located at the back of the cushioned seat. This platform of the sit and stand stroller is located between the rear wheels. This is where your toddler can stand and face forward to get a better view of the surroundings and it could also be used as a footrest when your little one is sitting.

Your baby will be comfortable in the cushioned seat. There are some models that allow the toddler to sit in the platform facing the parents just in case your toddler gets tired of standing up. Although your toddler wants to stand and walk on their own, they can easily get tired and would want to be comfortable sitting down in the stroller as well.

The main advantage of the sit and stand stroller over a full double stroller is that it is actually lighter and smaller, which makes it more portable for parents on the go.

This is also the best type of stroller to choose when you only have one baby, but there is another one on the way. This will save you money in the long run, as you don’t have to buy two separate strollers for them. Most units also come with standard safety breaks and are proven and tested to be safe, so you don’t have to worry about the safety of your kids while in the stroller. The sit and stand stroller is definitely a must buy if you want more mobility for your kids and yourself.
